In the composition I submitted to the 2016 CarpetVista Design Competition I used pastels with the purpose of realizing a work that would allow me to present the different sides of life. The use of light and bright shades allows me to represent positive emotions. On the other hand, the presence of darker colors embodies the hard moments in our lives and the difficult feelings that sometimes emerge.

La composizione proposta per il concorso carpetVista è stata eseguita con pastelli a cera e alterna colori che esprimono emozioni positivi ed altri più cupi e scuri che richiamano le difficoltà della vita.

My name is Margherita Bellucci, I am 23 years old and live in Rome, Italy. I have recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a master in contemporary history. I always loved to paint and I share this passion with my mother. She inspired the painting I submitted to this design competition. I love watercolour and abstract paintings. Abstract shapes allow me to express my feeling in many diverse ways, using different forms and a rainbow of colour.

Il mio nome è Margherita Bellucci, ho 23 anni e vivo a Roma, in Italia. Mi sono di recente laureata in storia contemporanea alla università di Oxford nel Regno Unito.
Mi è sempre piaciuto dipingere, e da sempre condivido questa passione con mia madre. È lei ad avermi inspirato la composizione proposta per questo concorso. In particolare amo l'acquarello e i disegni astratti, che mi permettono di esprimere le mie emozioni attraverso forme e accostamenti di colore sempre diversi.
