FINALIŚCI 2021 - ZAGŁOSUJ I WYGRAJ

As a designer and artist, I work a lot with paper, be it for sketching or compiling ideas. Sometimes I use small pads (like Post-it notes) because it is convenient to just put them on a board or wall and set them up like a mind map where I can see or visualize idea relationships and other connections clearer. It is very easy to move them around. At first it looks chaotic but eventually, it works. This carpet design I made echoes these pieces of multi-colored papers on a board (or on a floor), a homage to this "brainstorming" process. The carpet is machine-knotted using 4-5 colors for the "paper" squares and one color for the background and measures 2 x 3 meters. It is a simple design with subdued colors but still looking very dynamic, a good accent for modern interiors.

Bilang isang manlilikha ng disenyo ng mga produkto at pintor, malimit akong gumagamit ng papel kung saan inilalagay ko ang aking mga dibuho o isinusulat ang aking mga ideya. Malaki ang tulong ng paggamit ng "Post-it notes" dahil sa madali itong ilagay sa pader at ayusin upang bigyan ng linaw ang mga konseptong nakasulat tulad ng paggawa ng isang "mind map." Madali silang ipag-lipat-lipat at sa umpisa, ito ay mukhang magulo pero dahil sa mas makikita ang relasyon ng mga konsepto, ito ay magiging maayos at mauunawaan sa huli. Ang disenyo ng karpet na ginawa ko ay isang simbolo ng "brainstorming" na paraan sa pamamagitan ng papel. Ito ay may 4-5 kulay para sa "papel" na kwadrado at isang kulay para sa "base", at may sukat na 2 x 3 metro. Ito ay isang simpleng disenyo, tahimik na mga kulay ngunit mukhang may aksyon, angkop sa modernong tahanan.
